All BMWs come with the BMW Maintenance Program and Warranty standard for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Roadside Assistance comes standard for 4 years. BMW Assist Safety Plan comes standard for 4 years on every MY 2007 and later 5 Series, 6 Series, and 7 Series vehicle, and is available as an option or with the Premium Package on all other models. TeleService is available on all 2007 and later models with BMW Assist except for the Z4 and X3.
New Vehicle Limited Warranty
Every new BMW purchased from BMW of North America, or sold through the BMW of North America European Delivery program, includes a limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The warranty period begins either on the date of first retail sale, or the date the vehicle is placed in service as a demonstrator or company vehicle, whichever is earlier. And from that moment on, that BMW is covered for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, regardless if it's with its first owner or a subsequent owner.
Rust protection for 2006 and newer models.
For 2006 and newer models, we also provide a 12-year limited warranty, without mileage limitation, for defects in materials or workmanship that may result in rust perforation of the vehicle body. This coverage begins on the date of the first retail sale or the date the vehicle is first placed in service as a demonstrator or company vehicle, whichever is earlier.
Original owners can also extend their contracts.
If you're the original owner of your BMW, you can extend your service contract for up to 6 years or 100,000 miles for coverage of mechanical breakdowns.
If your BMW requires service that is covered under warranty, simply schedule an appointment with an authorized BMW center where a specially trained, BMW certified technician will make the repairs using original BMW parts. This will guarantee that your vehicle will be repaired to meet our specifications and you can be confident that your BMW will be just as thrilling to drive after a repair, as it was before.

To receive these services at no cost, just schedule an appointment at your BMW center while your vehicle is covered by the program. Items replaced due to wear and tear must be worn down past factory-recommended standards.

When you purchase your BMW you can choose to upgrade your BMW Maintenance Plan for an additional 2 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This phase begins after the initial four year or 50,000 mile plan expires and it offers the same benefits and ownership value.

* The BMW Maintenance Program covers all factory-recommended maintenance on all model year 2006 vehicles and newer vehicles, as determined by the Service Level Indicator, for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. Exclusions from coverage: gasoline, gasoline additives, windshield washer additives, tires, wheels, wheel alignment, tire balancing and rotation. BMW Assist™ Safety and Convenience Plan
Imagine a travel companion who knows the directions, traffic and weather and can pick out the best destination, whether a fine restaurant, four-star hotel, or well-hidden tourist attraction. That companion can be with you all the time—at just the touch of your Concierge button in your BMW. The address and phone number can even be sent to most BMWs, then transferred to your BMW navigation system or Bluetooth® phone for route guidance or to make the call. We can tell you the airline gate and arrival or departure time, as well as the best fuel prices and availability. These services, and more, are available when you enroll in the optional BMW Assist™ Convenience Plan.
It’s the ideal complement to your BMW Assist™ Safety Plan, which comes with most new models for four years at no additional cost, as part of BMW Ultimate Service™. When you combine the BMW Assist Safety Plan with the Convenience Plan, you enjoy peace of mind whenever you’re behind the wheel.
